New Year's Eve @ Sunny's
A new short film directed by Bob Giraldi, "New Year's Eve @ Sunny's" tells the true story of a young man returning from the Vietnam War on the eve of 1973, on the brink of suicide-- only to be saved by a connection with a young woman he meets that New Year's Eve night.
Based on a "Missed Connections" posting on Craigslist, and filmed on location in Red Hook, Brooklyn, the short film was a collaboration with Bob's students at the School of Visual Arts, and premiered at the school's annual film festival in New York City on May 16th, 2016.
